On Thursday, October 26th 2017 the L.E.R. Community celebrated Mi'kmaq Heritage in honour of Mi'kmaq History Month and the historic and contemporary contributions of Mi'kmaq culture and practices to the overarching Canadian society. Students and Staff participated in a variety of activities during the celebration. These activities included drumming & singing, storytelling, Mi'kmaq basketry, moose preservation practices, a medicine talk and luskininkin tasting! We would like to thank the Mi'kmaq knowledge keepers that came in and shared their teachings with us!
